United Way Helps Friend to Friend on the Day of Caring
Early Friday morning, the 9th of September, a buzz was surrounding the new Friend to Friend Butterfly Boutique. United Way volunteers swarmed into the worn space to brighten it up with cleaning and paint.
Anne Friesen directed the volunteers to their assigned teams and off they went to don a new coat of paint on a tired old place. There must have been 20 or so cheerfully working, each working together, each working united to help Friend to Friend's survivor advocacy program. Friend to Friend is thankful for the United Way and all the volunteers that blessed us on this Day of Caring.
Please come by and see what volunteerism can do in our community. The Butterfly Boutique is located at 125 Bennett Street in Southern Pines and will be taking upscale items for resale to help survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. The Butterfly Boutique's grand opening will be this October. If you would like to Volunteer at the Butterfly Boutique please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
