The New Serenity House
Friend to Friend is rebuilding the Serenity House!
In August 2011, we broke ground to build an all new green, 5-Star energy efficient shelter for women and children survivors of domestic violence and/or sexual assault. To help us rebuild Serenity House, or to sponsor a room, please donate. You may send a tax deductible check to Friend to Friend (P.O. Box 1508 Carthage NC 28327) or donate to the Walk of Hope, or donate via our PayPal account.
This new Serenity House will make it possible for us to house up to 34 guests (up from our previous limit of 18) for stays up to three months. The rebuilding of the Serenity House is in response to the devastating fire on February 22, 2011.
Through the generous donations of individuals, local Moore County Citizens, Friend to Friend Board of Directors, local businesses and in collaboration with the NC Housing Finance Agency, this new shelter is being built for survivors of domestic violence & sexual assault.
But we need more help to finish and to open the facility fully furnished and prepared for occupancy. Please help us reach our goal by making a contribution today.
